Whats 'The Survivor Archives' Project?
The Survivor Archives could be described as an online magazine where an abuse/trauma survivor is featured on a quarterly basis. It's a collaborative project based on survivors sharing what has helped them through out their healing. The goal is for this sharing to help other survivors by showing them, through example, that their healing is possible while providing them with ideas on how to get there and how NOT to get there. It helps survivors both to remember that they're not alone to give them them continual hope.
The Survivor Archives project is about reaching inside ourselves - into our past, present, and future and bringing all of it onto page so that it can be learned from. It's all about sharing, and learning.

What's So Important About This Project?
There are a lot of people who do benefit greatly from this project. I know because I've read their emails giving thanks for the shared strength and hope they receive through the words of each featured survivor. My hope is that eventually each reader will come to a place where they are healed to a point of being able to complete their own archive. It's a cycle of healing, it really is.
What's a Survivor Archive?
In each Archive the featured survivor is encouraged though a format developed by myself, to tell their story in such a way that the focus is not on the abuse itself - but the healing and recovery process. This concept is important because, not only does it help the survivor who is featured reflect upon the hope, the strength and power contained in his or her own story; it also inspires other survivors and helps them to find their courage to heal and tell their own stories, in a healthy and healing way, which is quite a difficult thing for most survivors to do.
How Can I Help With The Survivor Archives Project?
Submit a Request Form to Be Featured in an Archive
In order to continue with The Survivor Archives project, the website really needs a continual supply of Survivor Archive submissions. If you'd like to be considered for being featured please send an email to request@survivorarchivesproject.com
Submit an Essay, Article, or Poetry to The Survivor Journal
Writing from survivors pertaining to survivor issues is needed to provide readers with increasing information pertaining to their journeys. This writing goes into a second section of 'The Survivor Archives' homepage - The Survivor Journal - which is a collection of articles, essays, and poetry based around Survivor Issues. If you'd like to submit to The Survivor Journal please send an email to journal@survivorarchivesproject.com. Include your email address so that I can send you pre-made bulletins to post in blogs, emails, and message boards.
Submit a Book to the Survivor Library
There are so many books on Trauma related issues that it's impossible to list them all. But I would like to list as many as possible. If there are any books you'd like to see added to our library please send an email to library@survivorarchivesproject.com
Spread the Word
Since the biggest challenge for me lays in finding enough survivors who are able to complete an Archive, the greatest help anyone can offer is in simply spreading the word about this project. This is why I send pre-made bulletins (much like this one) to volunteers for them to post in blogs, emails, and message boards. If you would like to help in this way please email me at volunteer@survivorarchivesproject.com
Does The Survivor Archives project Need Donations?
Annually the project costs about $150 annually to keep the website up and running. That said, donations are always appreciated. Please donate via paypal with the button provided on our website sidebar. Just go to www.survivorarchivesproject.com and click on the "Donate" button.
